Welcome to my website! I am Jia-Ling Chen, a painter currently based in Taipei, Taiwan. I fell in love with plein air painting early on when I was working with watercolor. In recent years, I have focused on oil painting outdoors. Most of my work is completed by observing nature firsthand; I am fascinated by capturing light and color. I love the vitality and energy of painting on location. No matter the subject, I believe beauty is all around us, waiting for me to discover it.This site brings together my latest paintings, or upcoming series of works.
